unforgettable songs, big dance numbers, and plenty of heart.

Performances will take place in the Republic Bank Performing Arts Center (519 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road, Sewell, NJ 08080) on:

  • Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m.
  • Friday, March 13 at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Inspired by the frenzy surrounding early rock and roll icons, Bye Bye Birdie tells the story of teen idol Conrad Birdie, who is drafted into the army and plans one last publicity stunt before heading off to serve. What follows is a whirlwind of small-town excitement, teenage romance, overprotective parents, and show-stopping musical numbers including “Put On a Happy Face,” “One Last Kiss,” and “A Lot of Livin’ to Do.”

Under the direction of the Way-Off Broadway Players, students bring this Broadway classic to life with vibrant choreography, dynamic vocals, and a full-scale production that promises to entertain audiences of all ages. Featuring a talented cast and crew of more than 100 student performers, technicians, and musicians, this production highlights the creativity, dedication, and artistry of Washington Township High School’s thriving theatre program.

Bye Bye Birdie is a celebration of youth, music, and community; a perfect night out for families, alumni, and theatre lovers alike.

Join us for an evening of laughter, nostalgia, and toe-tapping fun as Washington Township High School says “bye bye” to winter and “hello” to a spectacular spring musical.
